The Walton County Chamber’s First Business Summit

Monroe, GA- The first Walton Chamber Business Summit will be held on May 16, an idea that originated during the Walton Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors retreat in October of 2022. The successful realization of this event is due in large part to the valuable contribution and support of presenting sponsor and partner, Meta.

“From providing small business grants during COVID to sponsoring meaningful initiatives like the Business Summit, Meta has continued to serve as an incredible partner for the Chamber and our community,” said Teri Smiley, president of the Walton Chamber of Commerce.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Walton County Chamber and look forward to providing educational opportunities that can help local businesses grow and thrive,” said Katie Comer, community development manager, Meta.

The Summit has a fantastic agenda that aims to benefit local businesses. Sessions will include: 

• Living the Intentional Life, by the renowned humorous motivational speaker, Charles Marshall. Charles has over 20 years of experience speaking to audiences all across the United States and is the author of several books, including “The Seven Powers of Success” and “I’m Not Crazy but I Might Be a Carrier.”
• The famous “Digital Darlenne” will educate participants on how to leverage Facebook Reels to market their businesses and how to engage audiences with Instagram. Darlenne Helena is a Meta-certified lead trainer and experienced marketer with over 10 years of experience in digital and social media marketing. Darlenne is a sought-after trainer who regularly runs workshops on social media marketing. Her unique talent comes from taking complex concepts and making them easy to understand. 
• Juanita McDowell will speak about “maximizing communication.” A speaker with a passion, Juanita is the president of InMotion Consulting, a training firm in Atlanta, GA that delivers more than 200 workshops and seminars to agents and entrepreneurs in the U.S., Bahamas, and Canada. An avid writer and video blogger, her tech articles have been published in REALTOR magazine and her YouTube videos have received over 2.5 million views. She is a member of the prestigious faculty for the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and a professional member of the National Speakers Association.
